You know, as I read many comments on social media when something bad happens, I realize that people truly believe we live in a black and white world. Here’s why:
If there’s a shootout between blacks, no one says a word. If there’s a shootout between whites, no one says a word. If the races are mixed, the blacks are out shouting “Black Lives Matter” and trying to reinforce their slavery card. I can’t understand why it works that way or why these people actually believe that they are the only one’s suffering.
What people seem to forget these days is how much the Latino’s and the Native American’s have and are suffering and not due to any violent crimes either. You see, prior to the Mexican-American war, many Mexican’s built and lived in what is now the United States and they owned many of the states. When Columbus came over by mistake, he did not discover America, he discovered the people living on this land which at the time were not white people speaking English.
Everyone is all “Deport the illegals” but they have no idea that these people are not illegals. It’s sad that they worked so hard to build this country and now after being forced into a war torn zone that is now Mexico, everyone wants them out as if they own the place and it’s always white people. White’s genuinely believe that this country belongs to them, that it always has and they have a right to kick people out. Latino’s have suffered incredibly since the Mexican-American war and continue to suffer at the hands of uneducated white’s. The entire “This is America speak English” thing proves such lack of education due to the fact that America is a continent and English came way after the Mexican’s and the Native American’s were living in the America’s and were then invaded by the true immigrants, white’s.
To make matters worse, Native American’s have been forced onto reservations and told they will receive no help from anyone including the government. Many of them are solely dependent on whatever animals they can catch, the water flowing through their land and their own people. It’s a shame to see how both the Mexican’s and the Native Americans are being treated in this so called “Land of the free” country. Both races truly are the victims of violence and unfairness. I hope that you will all become educated on these matters and pass it along so we can finally stop all of the ignorant memes, being passed around.
I feel like I have to post this because, I’m incredibly annoyed at stupid, drugged out, idiots running around in society. Here’s the thing, I’m not talking about people who were on drugs and are now getting better and recovering from them. There are a lot of good people in this world who used to be on drugs and aren’t anymore and I’m not talking about people who smoke pot.
There are a lot of people out there who are on speed, meth, cocaine, heroin, spice and other heavy drugs (not talking about pot). Those same people just get worse when they are on it. Not only do you have issues with people doing whatever to feed their drug habit but, there’s also the one’s who become violent or obnoxious and some who commit crazy crimes while on these drugs or as a result of needing them.
For instance, there’s a guy who lives in my neighborhood behind my house and I already wrote a blog on it, refer to the blog about the bad neighborhood. The guy is on speed and meth, he’s extremely obnoxious and violent. The guy is constantly in a screaming match with someone whether it be his druggie girlfriend or the neighbors nearby. He’s constantly screaming, cussing and making threats. I don’t deal with him and I don’t interact with him or any of my other neighbors. I don’t want to be involved with druggies. Otherwise, the next time he would be at my house trying to cause trouble, in which case he would be dead because, I’m not going to put up with the s***!
Then there’s people you see on the street. You know you’re at a stop light and suddenly you see some drugged out, mental case in the cross walk or sitting at a bus stop screaming, talking to themselves, cussing and whatever else nonsense they do. If they aren’t there, they are bugging the hell out of you for money or cigarettes at a gas station or store. You know what they want it for. Some of them act like you owe them something. For instance, there’s this time where I was at a gas station and this hateful ass black girl came up to the car and was basically demanding change and I said no and she got all pissed off and started ranting at me calling me a rich, white girl and a useless bitch and all of this other stuff and I got pissed off and I said really loud where other people could hear me “Now you’re really not getting a damn thing”. She went to go ask someone else and they said “Hell no, after the way you talked to her (me), you’re not getting shit from me”. I did it on purpose, I wanted other people to not feel sorry for her and to show how she was acting.
I honestly cannot deal with people who are heavy drinkers, drugged out or straight up mental. It really works my nerves and makes me more agitated. Too much exposure can make a sane person go insane. I’ve had way more than I want of it. When I bought my house, I didn’t do a lot of research about the neighborhood and I should have. It was a really long drive from where we were living and our car at the time was really struggling with even short trips. We bought it based on an inspection report, what the realtor (who’s a family friend) said and pictures. We found out shortly after moving in (within a few days) that there was a lot of trouble. The neighbors who live near us have a prostitution ring running in there and sell drugs out of their house. They have a lot of foot traffic coming in and out. We have a privacy fence that covers our entire back yard and we’re considering getting one for the front yard too even though we don’t hang out there. My child is only allowed to play in the back yard due to all of the bullshit that goes on out front.
I know this was kind of a rant blog but seriously, drugs are the worst thing that could have happened to this country and it’s people. Rehab should be free to all who want to enter and people who are witnessed on the streets drugged out, should be forced into rehab and mental health facilities.
I was watching a documentary today called “You’re not splitting up my family”. I’m shocked by how the twin boys were being treated by their father and grandma. Their mother passed away and were being raised by their father who’s an alcoholic and who’s abusive. He kept calling the boys a bastard and telling the social workers that he was going to kill them.
The boys were constantly in trouble at just 12 years old. They were having a lot of trouble with their mom’s death, their grandma hated them and wanted nothing to do with them. It seems that she caused a lot of the anger that the twin’s father had as she was an abusive grandma.
Social services continued to stay in their lives and see them for a little more than 12 weeks before removing them from their home with the father. They were both placed with an Aunt and Uncle. The father didn’t have any interest in being back in their lives. He would often say in front of them that he hated them and wanted nothing to do with them. The grandma said the same. I can’t imagine a life like that but, I’m not surprised by their behavior. To see how it was affecting the boys to know they weren’t wanted by anyone except their Aunt and Uncle. It’s just horrible.
When the boys were 22, they were caught back up with the camera crew who asked them what their lives had been like from age 12-22. The boys had been in quite a bit of trouble, in and out in jail. The camera lady then went to see the grandma who said she wanted nothing to do with the boys still. That she was now blind and didn’t want them stealing from her. She’s happy that they were taken away. Then they met up with the father who’s still drinking heavily and wants nothing to do with the boys either. He claims that he wants them to get their life straightened out yet, he doesn’t have his life straightened out. The one son now has a son and he wants to be a good father to his son. The other one is constantly in and out of jail, homeless and on drugs.
This is just a basic summary of the documentary but, the reason I wrote this blog is because I was so shocked at how parents hate their children, how having no one affects a child and how the father and grandma in this situation are to blame for the boys behavior. What would you do if you were in this situation? If you have been in this situation, please tell me what it was like.

I believe it’s important to address the stigma of those on Welfare, Food Stamps and any other form of help for needy families. I’ve seen too many discussions, arguments, memes and they were all negative and clearly had the wrong views. Let me set it straight for you.
Medicaid – The insurance that’s required for those who either don’t have work or can’t afford insurance on their own. It’s critical for families who are struggling because, medicaid provides necessary healthcare of children and adults alike including medications which couldn’t otherwise be afforded.
Food Stamps – Given to those who are under the poverty line at around 130% below the line. These food stamps are not just given to anyone, they are given to people who not only meet the poverty guideline but, they are also given to people who do work and aren’t making enough money. Everything is included when being eligible for food stamps including the amount of rent and utilities you pay, allowances for phone, child support and many other expenses
Cash Assistance – A set amount of money based on how much you make and some of the expenses you have to pay out but only, rent and utilities. Nothing else is included in that when it comes to your requirements. It’s not a large amount of money like most people think.
The main reason that we’re talking about this today is because there’s so many people out there who receive a bad stigma for being on welfare of any kind and they are often bashed for it. Not everyone who’s on assistance is on drugs or selling their food stamps. Not everyone who’s on assistance doesn’t pay their taxes or hasn’t ever paid taxes, not everyone can find work even with previous experience or an education. Not much of your tax dollars go to funding these programs, as a matter of fact more of your tax dollars go to funding the military expenses, like creating robots to fight in senseless wars.
You see, people are quick to say “Why don’t you go get a job and pay taxes like everyone else”. That being said, you’re assuming that they aren’t working now and that they have never paid taxes and you’re also not doing your research on how little of tax dollars actually go to the programs. You automatically assume that you’re supporting someone else’s family who you claim is on drugs, lazy and looking for handouts. Do you realize the number of people who can only find part time work, were let go from their jobs so the jobs could be shipped overseas, went through a horrible divorce and were left with nothing, became disabled and are waiting in the 2-3 year waiting list to receive disability benefits? No, you’re not considering any of those things or you wouldn’t post ignorant comments and memes talking about people you know nothing about!
So I’ll say this, unless you know the person personally, unless you’re willing to get them a job or give them a job, unless you’re willing to hear them out and hear their I’m sure heartbreaking story, STOP JUDGING THEM!
THIS MEME IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF SOMEONE JUDGING SOMEONE ON FOOD STAMPS. HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT THE IPHONE WASN’T A GIFT FROM SOMEONE THAT APPLIES TO MULTIPLE YEARS IN A ROW, HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT THEIR TATTOOS WEREN’T DONE BY A FRIEND OR THAT THEY WEREN’T DONE BEFORE THEY LOST EVERYTHING? HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT THE MANI-PEDI WASN’T SOMETHING SOMEONE ELSE DID FOR THEM OR THEY DONE THEIR SELVES AT HOME? BELIEVE IT OR NOT THERE ARE STICK ON NAIL THINGS THAT LOOK PROFESSIONAL.
I will rate Sears Credit Cards as a 0/10. After being a member since 1995, I inquired about having my interest rates lowered, as they are the same super high interest rate as they have been since I was a new member. I explained to them that it’s not fair to be forced to pay super high interest rates after 20 years. I spoke to 2 customer service representatives and 2 managers. They were very snotty with me and told me flat out “We will not change your interest rates, not now nor ever”. So I said “Fine, you’re going out of business soon anyway, I’ll just close down the card as I have no interest in working with someone who’s so rude and unwilling to appreciate a 20 year customer”. They could have cared less and stated “Well, we’re not going out of business and if that’s what you want to do, go ahead”. So, I cancelled. I have a Discover card that I’ve had for about 10 years, they very much appreciate my business and went out of their way to give me all kinds of cool deals including taking away all of my interest and giving me 10% cash back on most everything. I made it a point to tell Sears that they are losing their business to Discover and that, I will be sure to spread the word about their lack of care towards their customers. They didn’t believe me, now they will find out. I hope many of you will reblog this to prove that I’m not playing games with companies who don’t care. I have never missed a payment on my cards and I will not be treated like garbage. So if you’re considering shopping at Sears or getting credit, don’t.
Well, the dreaded mother in law is back. I want to say first off that I did not want her back in our home and I’m really angry that I basically was forced to let her come back here. She came here earlier this week and hasn’t left yet because we haven’t been able to drive her the 2 hours back to her house. Anyway, she was here all of one day before she started in again about we had to take her to kingdom hall and my husband was at work, we only have one car so it wasn’t going to happen so, she says “I’m going to walk” and I laughed because it’s 2 miles from our home, she can barely walk through the house muchless 2 miles away. She tells me that she must walk because she “has to put in hours for Jehovah”. Oh my God, so anyway, she takes off walking and she’s gone 3 minutes and comes back and says “It’s too hot, I can’t do it, so now what am I supposed to do”. I have no idea what she’s supposed to do, I’m without a car when my husband’s at work.
So then Wednesday night comes around and she’s like “I need you to take me to kingdom hall tomorrow night” and my husband says to her “I told you that we’re not involved with those people and we’re not going to drive you to kingdom hall, you need to call over there and have someone from the organization give you a ride” well that just set her off and she wanted to leave, which by the way, she’s always threatening to do. So she ends up calling and talking to I guess an Elder who tells her that they will have someone pick her up and they will call her when they are on their way. Ok, so she doesn’t hear anything by mid day yesterday and so again she starts in about us taking her to kingdom hall, we’re not going to take her and we reminded her of that again. So finally, she gets in touch with someone who comes to pick her up and she leaves. We always know that when she goes to the meetings, she comes back with a vengeance. I have no idea what they are teaching her about “worldly people” but whatever it is, it’s causing her to come back filled with hate.
So last night I ended up talking to my husband about things going on here and what I needed from him. We ended up raising our voices a little but we were still in the privacy of our bedroom. Well, I hear her slamming doors, boxes and throwing a bunch of stuff in boxes and bags. Her room wall is shared with my son’s room wall and it’s 3:30 in the morning and I’m pissed off because she’s making a bunch of noise pitching a temper tantrum. So I tell my husband, “You need to go in there and tell her to stop her bullshit or she can go walking back home”. He gets up and goes in there and she’s got her head spinning in a 360 degree spin, she’s still slamming boxes and yelling about how much she hates me and she’s leaving and this and that. My husband said “I don’t give a damn what you’re mad about but you’re not going to wake up the baby”. So he walks away and she’s still fuming and she slams one more box and then finally stops.
I told my husband that I’m not going to deal with this and that she shouldn’t have been here to begin with and she needs to return home but, we’re not taking her. I have plans for today and I have plans this weekend and neither includes driving her 2 hours back to her house. I’m actually rather annoyed with this attitude and idea that she’s actually going somewhere when she gets mad. We don’t have money to be making those kind of trips, she doesn’t have a car or anyone who lives anywhere near our house and there’s no bus line. I know that she’ll be on the phone with her other son soon enough expecting him to drive all the way out here and because he’s such a mama’s boy, I’m sure he’ll do it.
Most importantly, I don’t care what she thinks about me at all and I don’t need her help or support. All I’m concerned about is how my son feels. He’s almost 2 years old and she’s just emotionally damaging him by walking in and out of his life. My son already doesn’t have his grandpa in his life because he was nuts and acts crazy and does stupid things just like she does. I don’t need this kind of dysfunction and stress in his life or mine. I could honestly care less that she hates me. As long as he’s not hurt by it then I don’t care. I know that with his Autism and him being a toddler right now, he can’t possibly understand what’s going on so this has to be hard on him. I’m at the end of my rope and I think it’s honestly worse that she’s here than if she’s gone. I just know that I can’t take this anymore.
The main reason I’m writing this blog is because I was motivated by watching a TV series on Netflix called “Animal House”. It’s a show about a no kill shelter in New York called North Shore. The other reason I’m motivated is because when word spread that I take in pets that are no longer wanted, I became the drop off place for unwanted pets, primarily puppies. It was horrible to see how many people discarded their pets at my doorstep as if, they were just trash. It’s also sad that many pets are considered property under the law and nothing more.
I have adopted several animals from shelters and currently have a couple of animals that I adopted from people who couldn’t take care of them any more. Normally, this would be considered fostering and I have done a lot of that but, I plan on keeping the remaining animals I have left permanently. I currently have a cat that a woman didn’t want any more and though I knew virtually nothing about him, I decided to take him in because he needed a good home. I was told he was 14 years old but, later found out through a post she had made, the cat is actually 16 years old. I also was told that the cat couldn’t be kept any longer because the neighbor was allergic to cats and then found out she has 2 other cats that she’s keeping. So anyway, it’s a long story but the point is, when you’re adopting any kind of animal whether it be from a person, a rescue from the street or in a shelter, you never know what kind of health problems the animal may have and you certainly don’t know his/her true temperament.
In my case, I had to take the cat to the vet to find out if he was healthy or needed to be euthanized. The first 2 weeks he was here, he would not come out of hiding and he hissed every time we got near him and I thought “I can’t deal with this”. Come to find out, the cat is blind in both eyes and couldn’t see who was approaching. Finally, we had, had enough of his hiding and not socializing and forced him out of the room he was hiding in and shut the door so that he could no longer run back to that space. The entire day I would pick him up and carry him to the couch or to my bed and pet him and have him lay down so that he could get used to us without hissing. He kept us awake the entire night upset that he was being forced to socialize and to get used to the cat we already had (also a rescue). The next day, to our surprise the cat started socializing as if he had known us forever. He got on the bed, he walked through the house, he nudged my arm for me to pet him and got along well with the cat we already had who’s much younger than he is. It was amazing to see the turn around so fast and I think a lot of it is, us not allowing him to hide anymore and you know something, he doesn’t even bother going to the door of the bedroom he used to stay in.
The point in telling you all of this is because, I want you to understand that you never know what type of animal you’ll actually be getting, they are a lot of work and sometimes you’ll even feel like giving up but, you have to make the time to welcome the animal in your home and make the animal feel like you really care and that you can be trusted. The problem with most animals in shelters is that have either been abandoned or abused and possibly both. The animal isn’t likely to trust you regardless of their past situation and working with them to rehabilitate them is a lot of work and patience. Often times people get pets out of just wanting one and don’t consider everything that’s involved.
The animal, particularly dogs with previous bad behavior, will continue that behavior after you bring them home and it can be extremely troublesome and stressful, to change the animal’s mindset and behavior. They may chew your carpet, tear down your breakables, snap at you or even run when the door is open. Learn as much as you can about the animal prior to adopting him/her if possible. If you go to a shelter or the local pound, make sure they give you all the information about the animal including his/her behavior while they have been there and anything you can find out about the condition they were found in.
If you have never had a pet before, start with a small pet that you know a little something about, whether that be from online research or knowing someone with a pet. Don’t feel rushed to make a decision on which animal to take home. Walk around each cage and spend at least 10 minutes with the animals that you really like. If you’re adopting an animal that you found on the street, be sure that you have the time to rehabilitate that dog/cat before taking it home and make sure that it doesn’t present a health hazard or is dangerous. Some animals can be okay until you get them in your vehicle, that’s when the trouble can really start and make sure the dog/cats overall condition looks good before bringing it home. If it only looks like it’s starving, that’s better than a dog say with the mange.
Please share your rescue/adoption stories below and as always, thanks for reading my blog!
