So now as we’re nearing the holiday’s and we’re also moving, I’m getting a lot of harassment from my mother in law who has made it clear that she will not be in my house or help us out any more if we celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas or my son’s birthday in February and it’s really upsetting me. Also, my son really enjoys watching the cartoon “Super Why” and one time there was a Halloween episode and she flipped out and now forces us to change the channel every time Super Why comes on. There was nothing evil about this episode and honestly, she’s taking this too far. This show has been very helpful for my autistic son and he’s learning a lot of words from the show and he’s learning to read and how to inform sentences. I’m tired of her running my life! This is my child and I have to do what I think is best for him! I’m becoming really annoyed by all of this.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bashing Jehovah’s Witnesses and I’m trying to be respectful but, I’m losing my patience. I’m not a Jehovah’s Witness and I refuse to live their lifestyle! I do celebrate holiday’s and my son is not missing out because she doesn’t like it! I’m standing my ground and if she wants to leave my life, she’s more than welcome to. I’m sorry but this is my daily rant!
I recently read comments from a man who believed that he was the king of his castle and that a woman’s sole purpose was to serve him. I found this quite odd as he insisted that his woman would not work and she would obey him. To me, this is controlling and abusive. Have you ever met anyone who was like this? It’s quite an old fashion way of thinking and on top of that it’s really obnoxious. Even more odd, he claims that the woman is satisfied doing this for him, though I doubt very seriously she’s happy.
Women don’t have a “sole purpose” as every woman is different and women can do anything a man can do and should be allowed the opportunity. After all, we’re not living in a world where women don’t have rights. I’m not saying this because I’m a woman, I’m saying this because it seems odd. Some men act as though they cannot do anything for their self and probably could not wash their own clothes if that woman was gone. So for me, I find these pigest men to be ignorant if anything, as they cannot do much of anything for their self. I could however understand if this man lived or lives in a country where it’s common to put all the work off on the woman. This man however is a white american and that makes him seem abusive.
This man also stated that it’s not his responsibility to care for his biological kids physically, only financially. I’m sorry but, this is what’s wrong with kids today and why some kids are better off without their fathers. I’m sure there are plenty of men in the world who would love to be good fathers and role model’s to these kids that are apparently unwanted. I honestly don’t see how these men are given children by God. That’s an entire different story though and I will try not to get side tracked.
I have seen multiple men who are abusive on TV and even in public. As a matter of fact, I was at a park last week and I noticed that a woman was standing at the car of her apparent ex and then I noticed they had two kids and were meeting to switch custody for the weekend. What caught my eye was the man cursing and threatening the woman and her son. He was making a complete fool of himself and I was very worried about the child’s safety and her’s. He was telling her how useless she was and was threatening to hit the kid in the head. I thought “Yes buddy, hit either of them and I will take you out”. I honestly see no purpose in being so abusive towards the mother of your child and certainly not the kids. I also thought “Why is this woman not filing for emergency custody and then full custody”. I would not let my child go with that man even if he had court ordered visitation and when he called the cops, I would have him arrested for making threats and then he definitely wouldn’t be seeing my kids any time soon.
So the big question is, what causes some men to think they are inferior to women and what causes these reactions towards them? What makes a man think that a woman is only good for housekeeping and sex? I think that whether a man works or not, he should still be responsible for half of all the work at home. Having a job doesn’t stop so many good men from helping their wives. It’s both responsibility and this man was actually trying to quote scripture claiming that God made women for housekeeping and sex. I wrote to him “Even the devil can quote scripture”. I’m sorry but, I have a serious problem with men who abuse and control their women and then use God as their reason for doing it. People like the man on the internet and the one at the park, deserve to die a lonely death.
Have you ever met anyone like the 2 men I have described? Please tell me your thoughts in the comments below! Thanks for reading!
Have you ever noticed that many humans are the same? How about that many humans do the same things as other humans? Here’s a list of things humans do
Many people ask questions and answer their own questions. Have you ever noticed this? For example: “Do I think this will happen?” “Yes of course”. “Do I think that this will be the end?” “Yes, I do”. Now I have always thought this was odd because, why would anyone ask a question just to answer it? Why not just say “I believe this will happen or I believe this will be the end”.
Many people use their hands to attempt to make signals to tell you what they’re saying. Have you noticed that? Some people have a lot of trouble talking without using their hands and it’s odd because the language being spoken is completely understood particularly, if 2 people who speak the same language are in conversation and therefore hand signals are completely unnecessary. (I’m not referring to people who use sign language in attempt to have a conversation with the hard of hearing)
Many people tell nearly every single thought on Facebook or other social media. Have you noticed that people cannot even take a shower without posting it on Facebook? It’s also now become widespread to post personal photo’s on Facebook such as breastfeeding, in heated sexual poses or even naked/half naked pictures.
Almost everyone automatically “lines up” in a grocery store. Now you might say, yeah but you’re required to stand behind another person in line. Actually, you’re not really required but, people do it automatically after going through 12 years of schooling where everyone was forced to “line up”.
Many people who are in a waiting room of any kind pull out their cell phones within 5 minutes of sitting down. Have you ever noticed this? If not pay attention to it next time. We are a generation of “looking down”.
People will automatically start scratching if they see someone else doing so or if they see any type of bug near them or on them and that stays with the person long after the “threat” is gone. Also, mention to anyone that you’re itching and they will start itching within a few minutes.
If you know of anything else that people do that seems to be a copy of others, please leave it in the comments! Thanks!
I’ve watched many video’s on Teenage pregnancy whether it be home video’s or reality shows. In most of the video’s I see girls from ages 13-17 who are pregnant and usually without the father of their child. We live in a society today where this has become the norm. Young girls who are having sex and becoming pregnant.
One of the most ridiculous stories I saw recently is a young girl who claims that she’s a virgin and that she’s going to give birth to Jesus. Her mother backs up this story because, her mother claims that God came to her in a dream and told her that her daughter was in fact a virgin and that Jesus was going to come back to earth through her daughter. I know many of you will laugh and so did I. I think this has gone on long enough and her mother will find out the real truth when this baby is born.
Aside from that, I often read comments below these video’s calling these young girls “whores”. This makes no sense to me as it doesn’t make any difference whether your 13 or 30, all women get pregnant by a man and you don’t have to sleep around in order to get pregnant. It shouldn’t be automatically assumed that these girls have slept around and that’s what made them pregnant. The stigma that comes with teen pregnancy is horrible and it does nothing to prevent young mothers from getting pregnant.
There have been many outrages over schools handing out birth control, why? If your child feels uncomfortable talking to you, wouldn’t you want her to have protection anonymously? Parents say they don’t want this happening because, it will give their teen the right to have sex. WRONG, it will give your teen the right to have safe sex. Teens are going to have sex, it doesn’t matter if birth control is available or not and the parents who don’t support this idea, who try to scare their teens into not having sex, will be the one’s who end up with a pregnant daughter or their son will get someone pregnant and maybe pass on an STD as well. We can’t be ignorant as parents and assume that our child will never have sex at their age. Teenagers are impulsive as it is and when they get those sexual feelings, chances are they are going to act on them.
I’m not saying that I approve of teens having sex, getting pregnant or any other form of emotional bonds. What I am saying is that we need to concern ourselves with safe sex and a validation that we understand what that teen is feeling and that we were once teens ourself.
There should be a place that teens can go and talk with girls who are already teen moms or guys who are teen dad’s and get a support system where the people around them are not bias. Parents cannot be that rock for those kids as parents are all about NO NO NO and it doesn’t work obviously. Then there are times where the teen must learn from their own mistakes. Regardless of what hopes and dreams you have for your child, your child will have to be the one to decide what future they have and I know you’re saying “This woman is crazy”. No, what I’m saying is that teens will be teens and there’s no amount of guilting, parenting, grounding or anything else you can do as all people express free will and teenagers do this more than adults. I would not want my son getting anyone pregnant but, I’m also not going to be blind to the fact that he probably will get someone pregnant.
The best thing we can do as parents is get ready for any questions that our teen may have and be ready to not overreact when they tell you that they want to have sex or that they have been having sex. Making threats to your child or their partner will only push them away more.
